Information we collect

• · Business account information — the email address and login credentials of the business owner who signs up for MerQuery.
• · Facebook Page connection — your Page ID and a Page Access Token, obtained via Facebook Login, encrypted before storage.
• · Business knowledge base — the FAQs, policies, product/service details, and other business information you provide so the assistant can answer accurately.
• · Messenger conversation content — messages exchanged between your Page and your customers, so the assistant can generate replies and maintain conversation history.
• · Extracted lead information — details a customer shares in conversation (e.g. name, contact info, intent, budget/timeline), captured to help you follow up.
• · Orders and appointments — if enabled, product orders and appointment bookings made through Messenger conversations.

How we use this information

We use it to operate the assistant: generating replies grounded in your business information, extracting and organizing lead details, and showing you conversations, leads, orders, and appointments in your dashboard. We do not sell this information.

Third parties we share data with

• · Meta / Facebook Messenger Platform — to send and receive messages on your Page's behalf.
• · Google (Gemini API) — conversation text and business information are sent to Google's AI models to generate replies and extract lead details.
• · Infrastructure providers — Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), and Upstash (message queueing) store and process data on our behalf, under their own security commitments.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your business account, or of an individual customer's conversation data, at any time — see our Data Deletion page for how.
